Looks killer! Must be stoked to have it all going back together

I am very excited for you, and I hope that you can get some sleep so that you can make it through your work day and get back at this!!
I look know forward to seeing it in person!

I'm thinking about adding the fuel pressure guage on the throttle body too. But thenow I was thinking not to bother because the handheld has it. Then again maybe it would be good for verification.

What was your thought process on including it?

I just like having it under the hood for troubleshooting. Hopefully I won't need it but it's there if I do. There's also enough slack in the hose to remove it.

I put mine on the cowl where I can see it while in the driver seat. It will almost instantly narrow down a problem on the trail or on the road. You either have pressure or you don't, which saves tons of time diagnosing a problem. Plus it just looks kick a$$ mounted on the cowl.

I'll have the FiTech digital display in view with all sorts of readings including fuel pressure. The mechanical gauge serves more as a troubleshooting tool under the hood.

Nice progress dude! Very good looking!

Thanks man :D

Something else I've been putting off simply because it's not priority is the hydro assist system. I bought a bunch of used parts from a guy parting out a K5 in bay area which includes:
PSC Ram
Redneck ported steering box (flare style)
Couple sets of hoses
PSC reservoir

my pump is a rebuilt unit that I bought a while back. I'm trying to figure out if I should bite the bullet and go with a PSC pump and run a external reservoir or just run the OE pump I have and use a rad hose for more fluid capacity.

The other thing I should note is that the reservoir some earlier PSC version, I think it would work :dunno:

First of all, so impressed with what you are building. Incredibly nice work.

Just don't want you to be let down, but I dont think the handheld reads fuel pressure. It has the internal regulator but no sensor on the throttle body to read it. Like you said though, quick glance under the hood will give you the info you need if you're trying to diagnose a problem.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

And I think you may be right about the fuel readout now that I think about it. The Holley system has it....maybe I knew that a year ago when I bought the gauge :D

Small updates but I was able to get both dipsticks installed, transmission cooler lines ran, oil pressure sender moved to the back of the block and the final fuel fitting installed at the tank.

Where are you going to pull the ignition switched power from for the FiTech?

No I haven't. Was just reading the Holley instructions and got to thinking about it. They really stress "clean" power source; specifically not off the coil. I was wondering about one of the terminals off the starter. :dunno:

Spent most of the evening figure out how to connect the Holley fuel pump lead to my dual tank system. Thankfully I think I have that solved. Just need to verify on the truck with the multimeter. I know, not a problem you have to worry about. :smirk:

If you used a relay that is triggered by an ignition hot wire, then you can rum power directly from the battery to the relay. Would that be clean enough?

I've read the same thing about clean power source. Actually it's not really a power source per say, it's just a trigger for the built in relay. I was thinking about it more last night and looked at a couple schematics and remembered I had AC in this truck. I should be able to find an ignition hot off the fuse box.

Very possible.
