I set it at 800 on the FiTech, it was idling around 900 when I last ran it, base timing is still off and needs to be addressed.

Okay, I wasn't sure what would be good. I was thinking all these years I had a tach on the old TBI350 but can't remember what it idled at.

I had an old crappy tach on this previously so I'm not really sure where exactly it was. I set it by ear anyway, drove it and then adjusted as necessary.

I kinda like the low idle RPM. I may see if I can get it to idle at 600RPM. That's what I found for the idle spec on the TBI 350. In low range with the tired old 350, I had to stay hard on the brakes to not over power them. The 454 should more likely to do that.

you should be able to get it down close to 600.

pulled the axles from the truck and dissembled the D60. Both are at Sean's shop so he can install the Yukon 5.13's and new 1350 yokes. Also picked up a Barnes 14 bolt cover so I can shave it, something I've been putting off for a while now.

Below are some other updates and a shortlist for myself to get this thing on the road.

Cable Shifter- Picked up a heat sleeve for the winters shifter cable since it was a little too close to the exhaust. Need to bore a hole in the floor for the cable and find a temporary mounting solution for the shifter.

Throttle Cable- The throttle cable wasn't fitting right so I picked up a generic lokar cable that I found on another squarebody forum. The throttle bracket didn't fit right and I don't need a kickdown cable so I bought a new bracket as well. Hoping to take a closer look at that tonight with the truck so low to the ground.

Fuel Filler Neck- I should have the fuel filler hose and the 90 degree bend coming in tomorrow so that's not holding up the bed getting installed.

Brakes- I need to fare the rear line and weld a tab on. Had to buy more 3/16" line for the front two caliper runs from the PV, once those are ran I can weld tabs supporting those near each bumpstop. I also ran new lines from the MS to the PV, had those backwards.

Steering- I built a couple brackets to support the cooler on the front crossmember, need to weld those in, shoot some paint on them and run the 6an lines for that. Also need to cut the 10an line from the reservoir to the pump but I want to get the belt on first so the pump is in the right location. I had a couple offset tie-rods from ruffstuff on my tie-rod thinking those were needed to clear the ruffstuff cover. I've however fond that's not the case and I can use the regular tie-rods so I bought a couple at ruffstuff to swap out. Once the D60 is back from the shop I'll fit the ram and weld those tabs while it's on jack-stands and easily accessible.

Drivelines- Measure the rear, have it shortened. Have a new front built once I can flex it and measure.

Front Hoops- Fit, cut, weld and paint.

T-Cases- Setup a recovery tank for the crawl box, finish the sight tube for the 205 and fill it.

Fans- Rewire the relays and have Fitech trigger them. Same for the Derale cooler however the derale fan switch will trigger that.

I'm sure there is some other shit I'm forgetting however that's close to mall crawler status so I can drive it and tune FiTech

Write it out on cardboard so you can cross things off as you get them done. It helps with progress and then u actually can see the list getting smaller.

I've had one going in the garage but I think it's missing a couple things, I'll cross reference it when I get home tonight with this one.

Not sure you guys watch or not but they do that on Dirt Every Day and RoadKill.... I love those shows. Best $5 bucks a month I've spent in a long time (MotorTrend OnDemand).

I'm cheap so I watch them both when they come out on the you tube channel on my Roku. Same thing but you gotta wait longer to get new episodes.
I better get to work on my few things I need to do for Moab also.
