It was kinda funny because I was trying to cycle the steering (lock to lock) and as I turned left it went right and then I turned right and it went left. At that point I realized the ram must be plumbed backwards so I shut it off and that's when the breather hose blew out of the over flow container spraying like a super soaker. Sprayed my TV, 4-5 hardware bins full of fittings, welding jacket, my new hardware cabinet and all over the floor, walls and ceiling. I just laughed and called myself a few curse words.

I did something similar once. I filled my diffs up with a 30? gallon roll around pump, and not thinking I dropped it on the ground. Well for whatever reason we left the shop that night after working late. Came back in bright and early to find 30 gallons of 80/90 seeping out of the shop door.

It literally took a truck bed full of oil dry to clean it. And it had to be cleaned up by 5am on Monday morning.

Got back yesterday from my 2.5 week business trip, took an early flight home so I could be home in the afternoon, ended up sleeping 12 hours last night and spent the next 10 in the garage in 100+ heat.
  • Installed the Vacuum brake pedal and bracket I bought from eBay. I'm not getting a firm pedal using my mighty vac.
  • Received my rebuilt steering box from west Texas Offroad. That's installed and bled along with the steering linkage and column
  • Installed a fluid sight on the np205 and filled it.
  • Hooked up the JB fab shifters, not sure what's going on but my rear rail won't shift. Might be the adjustable detent is too tight but I can't get a socket on it with the tight clearance against the floor. I was able to shift them on the bench so I'm not sure what the hell is going on.
  • Hooked up the winters shifter which took way longer than it should have. I wasn't getting enough throw from the shifter so after some Google-fu I found a thread on pirate talking about it the directions are ass backwards. Flipped it all around at the transmission, made a couple small adjustments and it's money.
  • Ran the engine and verified the fans are working, played around with the idle and IAC steps and got those where I want them. Engine and the magnaflow sound good. Fans are set at 185 which kept the engine temp under 190 in 100 degree heat at idle.
  • Cut down another fuel neck and got that mounted in the bed. I want to build a sheetmetal box around it later but that's not a priority right now.
If I can get a brake pedal I'll be driving it tomorrow. I want to play around with the shifters more and get that sorted. Also need to flex the suspension and get my front driveshaft ordered Monday.

I should mention that I'm trying to make a camping trip with this rig the weekend after next. It's a lake we go to often, about an 1.5hrs of highway and a hour or so of dirt trail. It's up near fordyce so there's plenty of trails, many of which are in rough shape from our winter.

Curious to see what's up on the 205. Mine went in real nice on the bench, been preculiar since
