So not being a fabricator to the level of most of you guys here I'm curious on the cage construction. How are the joints going to be welded that are concealed by the body? Like at the back of the cab or the roof?

Sheer creativity. You basically have to figure out which joints you can't get too, tack the whole thing together, then untack and swivel/drop/force/whatever it takes to move a joint into a weldable position

Sounds like a lot of fun in warped way. Thanks.

I pulled the B Pillar out yesterday and welded all the joints. Now I can fit the halo braces, tac those in. The halo and b pillar will tilt forward as one piece with the front glass out so I can access all the welding on the halo. From there it’s a pillars, dash bars and the floor tube. Might end up using some tube disconnects on the floor section.

Just trying to slow you down so I can get my junk going before yours...

so in four weeks I'll be on the Rubicon trail.....

To Do List:
1) Finish Roll Cage
2) Mount Seats/Belts
3) Patch Floor
4) Cut a piece of steel for the belly skid
5) Install new ram (almost done, waiting on a new heim)
6) Shim Rear Axle/adjust anti-wrap
7) Install heater
8) Install Reid KP bushings & adjust toe
9) Maybe fix the exhaust?
10) Top off fluids, grease zirks, nut/bolt check, pack gear.

My only commitment over the next several weekends is Motorcross this Saturday so I should be OK.

Screw #9...as soon as you fix it you'll destroy it on the trail, haha!

Going to watch Hangtown National this weekend?

it's how I routed the passenger side tube that needs to be fixed, my HAD shaft got in a fight with it.

yep, going to hangtown to watch Tomac shred.

I see why you would want to fix that now...carry on, haha

I follow Supercross and the Outdoors every year...freaking love that crap. When we were in CO the last few years, I flagged the Thunder Valley National each year...kinda miss doing it now. Was fun being right on the side of the track. I was always the red cross flag on one of the bigger jumps and had a headset on that was tied to all of the AMA guys...was really funny listening to them all yell at each other all day to make sure they were on the TV schedule...good times. I wanna see Tomac win again this year...gotta represent the CO boy :waytogo:. Have fun man...I'll be watching on TV on Saturday!

That's about how I routed my exhaust too. I suppose the only thing saving mine is the bumpstops. Due to high steer mounting ram and minimal crossmember clearance I only have about 2.5" of uptravel.

I have around 5” up once the bumps squish a little. My plan is to use a couple 45’s so it’s tighter.

I really enjoy watching motor sports in general however supercross is on a whole other level. Saturday should be fun.

@skunked thanks for posting the pic of your exhaust. I am ready to start on mine, planning to try and simulate full bump, and see where I can go.
