Yeah buddy!!! Looks like a fun trip! Kinda fun having the sacrificial party side. Next time I come out we should hit fordyce I've never been, as long as the blazer doesn't end up floating down the river haha.

next time this should be the trail for sure. The river flows can be scary as hell but for whatever reason they’ve kept the lake full and the flows next to nothing so far this year.

I’ll update this thread with the oil pressure issue. Pulled the ORD crossmember, oil pan, bell housing cover, exhaust, skid plate and the skid plate frame/transmission crossmember. Oil pickup was sitting in the pan as expected. Tomorrow a new pan, oil pump, pickup, oil pan seal and dipstick will be here.

We had a field service mechanic in the company I work for once that had oil pressure issues on a Dodge V10. Some how he figured out if he put like 5 gallons of oil in it then it was ok. He drove it like 80 miles like that to the Dodge dealer to get it fixed. You just needed lots more oil.

I guess at the lower RPM's and level ground, there was enough oil in the pan for the pump to pull in oil. At the higher RPM the oil was leaving the pan faster and dropping the level. I think it's interesting it worked at all without the pickup tube on the pump.
