How do you like the camper? Been looking at those and wonder how to pop up siding is in cold and hot weather if it will contain the heat/cold

I would expect the extreme heat or cold might be a problem however I'm not concerned about either. I have no plans to camp in 100+ degree heat and I regularly camp in a tent in freezing weather with a heater buddy so this would be a step up for me. I didn't want a heavy camper so it's a trade off.

It was in the high 80's on that trip and low 40's overnight and I was very comfortable without AC or a heater. The roof has two pop up vents with electric fans as well.

That is why I was leaning towards one, I want to be able to put it on the 82 and the daily. Even though on the 82 it would have a front porch.

On Wednesday we decided to take the fire trails out through Jackson Meadows and Bowman Reservoir, hit Cisco for gas and run the whole trail from Eagles Lakes to Meadow Lake. This would be a long day of wheeling so we packed the rigs with food, beverages and swim trunks for the river.

On the way out the K5 started to over heat, it ended up being a blown relay for the fans and I had an extra. Shortly thereafter, he ran out of gas so we stopped and syphoned some gas from the buggy. Oddly enough, none of us brought gas (with exception of the CJ on propane) because we expected to gas up at Cisco.

We had a few miles of travel on highway 20, I ran tail gunner since I was the closest to legal :rotfl: We had to get on highway 80 for a mile or two, the CJ has a square front driveshaft, all of them have slugs so freeway speeds were questionable at best. That was fun.

We gassed up and ended up sitting at the gas station for over an hour because a CHP was posted on the on ramp, the direction we needed to go. There was a ton of Tahoe traffic so it was a bit of a shit show.
