I could too.. Might try it in mild steel then switch to stainless later if it works..
Why do it twice?

What @bent72 said.. I had an idea for a crossover if the boost wont fit in the V, Ill recon the space tonight and see what the dealio is. If it'll fit Ill run it because that solves a lot of the packaging and potential flow issues. Plus.... the H1C is a twin scroll. Now I am not sure if the firing order will work with a divided manifold and spool the turbo properly, Ill have to figure that out and if its even worth looking into.
I also planned on running some sort of WMI to keep the EGT at bay should I decide to or have to hold the throttle WFO and not melt the pistons.
Goals are to have something that runs as good as a stock 6.5 or a bit better because the exhaust would be free flowing, and the WMI allows a little more fuel which makes more boost.. The H1C has a good drive pressure ratio compared to the GM4 and GM8 turbo's so I might be close to 1.5:1 or lower which would keep the head gaskets from lifting.. I'm sure it'll happen but Id like to avoid doing more work than I need too. Once they do and I can verify the block isn't toast and there isn't any surprises, then Ill stud it. maybe get the stud girdle for the lower block and run it.. maintenance from there out.

After its complete its mere maintenance.Sounds like a nice project, but that's not mere general maintenance.![]()
Divided manifolds take advantage of different size trim on the exhaust wheel, which spools the turbo faster..I don't understand why this would be a problem.![]()
Anyone know if you can flip or swap sides on the exh manifolds?
That's good to know because I could get another rh manifold and put the output forward and run the merge in front like banks does.
Also my steering box woes have turned into possible direct replacement.. Napa has the 4x box now and would literally require no fab.. I might take the lazy route on this one until I have more time.
What about a remote mount setup?
Haha! Yeah I realized the suject changed after I had posted that. OooooopsYeah remote mount the steering box and turbo to the back of the truck.

No not cheaper but napa and lifetime warranty.. And it's local and no shipping.
