84 K20 "Ethel" Not an Sbc/NV4500/241C

Semi restoration of a 1984 K20 pickup. 5.3 LS, nv4500, np241c.
A couple of thoughts...28MT's have dropped in price over the last 10 years. The first one I bought was north of $300. The second one was under $200. They are a huge improvement over the 27MT direct drive unit.

That clutch looks like it might have been OE. It also looks like it put up a good fight...

The starter has a discount.. Because of my job we get good deals but it was accident. I can't wait to see how much better it is now with this starter and it is much lighter.

The clutch was a luk with unknown miles and it must have been going a long time ago!! Super stoked on this new unit. I have it bolted to the engine and torqued down, literally just finished cleaning the bell housing. I have to replace the pivot ball and then bolt that up. Soon she shall be stabbed.. Wish me luck..

Ever price out marine grade starters? I feel bad when we have to put one in a customers boat! After I'm done doing my best car accident victim impression in the engine compartment I don't feel so bad.
