Ethel pretty much crawls up anything.. Not sure how mere mortals wheel without a 465... I just don't get not having the gear reduction. It slows everything down so much that you really get to put the truck where you want. I've gone up some stupid hills in this and based on what the truck is always suprises me. It'll go wherever I'd need to. No not some crazy crawler but for a pickup.. Bad..
Get yourself a doubler, and you will really be amazed.

he puts a doubler on that thing it would be so stupid slow... you can damn near take a nap crawling in it right now.. double that and smoke a pack and drink a 6 pack to get 50 feet

I guess your never in a hurry... I'm doing a 203 205 on mine but mine is not a tow truck....
He has done much more off roading than he has towing so far.

This! And yea I cannot imagine a doubler, I like the slow, you don't get bounced around, you don't always have to use low range either because low in high4x is usually good enough to get it all done. This truck is gonna be really fun once that boost gets on there.. Then it'll move its but in the sand better.
Still favorite truck to date.. 16mpg ain't bad either.
@82355 all these auto guys get jelous as soon as you talk crawl ratio and gear reduction. I can creep down any large hill without worrying I won't stop because my brakes don't work.. Or if I forgot to put my case in low cough cough: @bergerking @secutright almost got pushed uphill by this diesel..
