I guess you can't change the throw out bearing measurement since you already have the short one. Can the clutch height be changed using different parts? What was it like on your 6.2?
I did this myself, so I am using some temp bolts I had lying around, they're too wide and touch the clutch so I did not tighten the pressure plate down completely which explains the tight clearances. So I'll get the correct bolts and check this again.
Ok with proper bolts in I now calculate .49in clearances
Sounds better. I would say 1/8" on the clutch side and 3/8" on the back would be good.
So will that work? Or is that too much for full release of the disc?

So it'll swing near 1.0 in total before the fork bottoms on the bellhousing, and releases about 1/2 or less and that's with my tcase in 4wd and the trans in 5th so with the engine load it'll disengage way before that even does. So I'm happy with this, it gives me some room for a taller TOB if I need it. Feels good to. On to fitting this biatch in the truck now!
Yeah not sure how fork movement to clutch plate movement works but I know a clutch on a semi only needs like .030" clearance at the discs to release fully. Glad it worked out right . Did u have room for the pushrod?
