84 K20 "Ethel" Not an Sbc/NV4500/241C

Semi restoration of a 1984 K20 pickup. 5.3 LS, nv4500, np241c.
I think your shocks are a little short
That’s at droop they’re plenty long. It only has 8 inches of travel lol remember it’s stock..

I ended up having to cut some of the air box off on the bottom side it was hitting the hood. Sounds different for sure now. I’ll report back after a week.
So far so good..

Drive to work was uneventful but I do have a growl from somewhere possibly the pinion is not the correct angle.. it is damn near level with the ground and the output is not, so i think I have some issues there possibly and the driver side rear wheel bearing may be loose and making noise. I suspect this as the other side was so loose and why would the same axle be any different. Either way I’ll be working on it tonight when I get home..

Ac works awesome, and the heater does as well.

Damn pinion was off 4 degrees.. had to get creative and welded some plate to my 1 degree shims and busted out my grinder and tapered it down just to get be by.. friggen truck is trying to kill me I swear..

I was thinking the same thing. But he does still have the stock shackle so its not gonna droop much.
You mean droop at all. Plus it doesn’t see much of any offroad time now at all. Even if it was limited I’d prob not even notice lol

I melted today.. and the clutch geometry needs to be fixed ASAP.. I am slowly hating to drive this.. gotta bring that back around... can’t hate on such a good looking and sounding truck.. that would be a yuuugeee mistake..
this is what it feels like on the freeway at 70-80 sometimes.. keeps ya on your toes..

Well if it makes you feel any better I fixed my AC in bad grampa the other night. Don’t need it in the morning yet but it’s nice and cold on the way home. I almost wore my hoodie on the way home yesterday.

If it makes you feel any better I had to turn off the A/C seats the other day.

That’s nice.. so your down to 209hp out of the tbi now??

Drove out to the races today with bubbs, and the freaking evaporator froze!!! Cranked up the thermostat on the evap, we’ll see if that happens again! Freaked me out cause the airflow dropped significantly and I was like wtf is going on now.. pulled over and checked and the inlet was icing over st the firewall!!! So needless to say I think this is working now.. glad it didn’t lock up the compressor. I cycled the compressor on and off the rest of the day to suck the coolness out of the evap so it didn’t have a chance to freeze.. not bad on 100degree day.
