'84 K5 Build (Midlife Crisis)

I like to buy as much stuff as I can from Jegs because it was tax free, until the Supreme Court ruling last week, which totally SUCKS. I know of the Summit Racing warehouse in the Reno NV area, but I did not know Summit had a warehouse here in Las Vegas. I have the same exact combo of muffler and Y-pipe as you do, but it is from Jegs and painted a different color.

No I think the only Nevada center is in Sparks.
I have ordered a few things from jegs but I have better service from Summit. Hopefully I’ll have this thing up and running next week. Still waiting on a few items that don’t show delivery till Tuesday or Wednesday.

When you posted "Gotta love having a Summit warehouse in Las Vegas" I thought that meant that there was one. I have not had too many problems with Jegs. I do think Summit is better than Jegs, but when I can save as much as $100 on taxes I will take my chances with Jegs. As long as I use Jegs on-line ordering system, and do not involve a live person, the order usually does not get screwed-up.

Now you made me go back and look. I did say Nevada. But yeah I agree I believe the few times I did use jegs it was a large order and the taxes would of sucked.

I still have to mount the coil and swap throttle cables and top off fluids, but she fired right up. The exhaust for this engine was built to fit the shortbed, but I was able to get it bolted up to the headers and tie wired up to the chassis. It should be good enough to get me to my buddies exhaust shop so I can do the 3” single exhaust.

Now it's time to get that air up and running. If its 105:eek::eek: in the upper Sacramento valley, can only imagine what it s like in Henderson.:yikes::yikes:

I ****ing LOVE my mouse. Besides the fact it will burn down the house at will, I let it idle in the driveway till the fans kick on. 83 seconds and the fans shut off. That’s how it’s supposed to work. That p.o.s. Bbc once the fans come on, they dontshut off till the engine has been off for ten minutes.

How can I post a video longer than 20 seconds? After that it says file to large...

Ordered a new wideband. My exhaust guy is booked up till the 13th. So looks like I have to do a better temp job on what I have now.

Cool! It looks like you got your Tuner Pro R/T monitors going there. What exhaust shop do you use? There is one called Performance Muffler on Decatur BLVD. that is known for doing decent work. That is where I am going to take my truck soon.
