Gear… What to bring and what not to bring… It seems like no matter how much you bring, there is always something that is forgotten…
In a nutshell, you can never take too much… Sometimes it is something simple like a hose clamp, wire or a special bolt that will get you or someone else back in
I agree 100% If i could bring a whole spare parts rig with me and a shop full of tools I would. Nothing worse than being broke down and if you just had this one part, or this one tool you could be going again.

No such thing as over packing for an excursion.

Getting ready for a thick wooded trail ride in the Tobacco Root Mountains tomorrow, I had some fun today and added my current Moab Trail Badges. I think they gave me a little more horse power as well. :-)

I am tired of the front suspension sway, axle wrap and bouncing. So, today I traded a SDX-12 Shotgun that I anquired on partial trade and $1050 for a set of 14” King Coil-overs. I plan on buying all the rest of the hardware one piece at a time with each paycheck to do the conversion.

This deal saved me over $1000.

That price is not including the internal bypass and the actual springs
That is true. Will those springs work for you? What are they out of curiosity?

Hmm. I didn’t ask what they came off of. He did say the rates were 300/400 or something like that. I called ORD to see what their spring rate was. They wouldn’t say unless I bought a set from them. But the did say the 300/400 rate should be fine with the heavier diesel motor. I think these are worth trying out. What you think?

That’s probably a decent starting point. Depends where you want it to sit in the travel. I wanted to keep my blazer as low as possible so I’m at about 80% droop. My front springs are 200 over 350.

Also added a 3rd 6 degree shim on the driver side Dana 60 top of the spring to straighten out the spring plate to reduce stress on the bolts and U-Bolts. Here you can see the old bolts are bent and cracking pre 3rd shim. I’ll get those bolts replaced soon.

So far these 40” Patagonia tires are great! The method rims and Patagonia tires balance very well! I feel comfortable going 80mph. Just have to keep in mind to Retorque the beadlock rings every 200 miles to 25 foot pounds. Since these Patagonias are a true to size 40” tire, even after doing some cutting on the wheel wells, they still rub with light flexing on light trails.

This next summer I plan on going down to Boyce Equipment and buying some clean fenders and installing them without wheel wells. I will have to relocate the batteries, lift pump, psc power steering reserve, arb compressor and whatever else is on the fenders.
