85 K5 Blazer Seat swap

I need to swap out my stock seat for the 06 Avalanche Seats where can i find the brackets do do the swap. I just want to make sure it will be safe in case i am in a accident

When I did my Silverado seat swap I only found 1 company that would custom make them and they wanted $350 for 2 brackets.

I ended up redrilling the floor and using large diameter washers on the underside to reinforce the bolts.

how did you find the right placement?

Nothing real fancy; set the seat in there loose, sit in it and scoot it around until I felt right behind the steering wheel. On the passenger side I used one of the original front bolt holes for the new seat, this seemed to give me enough room for rear seat access.

It’s been a long time but back in the day I just used the stock brackets.

I used some 1" wide 1/4" thick flat stock to bolt the seat to and then put holes through them and the floor with more 1" strap on the bottom of the floor to reinforce the sheet metal.

I found reusing the some of the factory holes on the driver's side made the seat not centered to the steering wheel.
