'85 on big tars.(pics & video)

Getting back to my "1 thing a day" routine. I'll post up some more updates after a few days have passed and there is a worthy amount of material to photograph.

Got the rear bumper done last night.

Might be a few tweaks yet but its there.

We managed to get some old mounts chopped off the tubing the other day and fitted up the vaccum booster for the brakes.

Had to make sure that cleared orbitrol valve mounting before that was fully welded in.

Got a 16" fan on the way so we can finish up the shroud, trans cooler and fan mounting.

Then up on the list is running the aluminum tubing from front to rear for the radiator. This is one of the big jobs on the list.

Finally we had some aluminum in the table that wasn't completely allocated to dashes. We managed to sneak a fan shroud in for Brett's rig.

After that we quick knocked out the fuel tank skid plate.

Now its time to get the coolant tubes fitted up. These were originally bent to be mounted a little differently. They are pretty thick tubing so, cutting an re-orienting the bends isn't hard to do.

We'll get the water lines finished up and then rebuild the front cab mounts that had to be removed to run these through.

After that, probably get a trans cooler hung off the front side of the radiator. That's a quick job. Mounting studs are already in place.

The passenger side tube has been refitted. Just need to build the mounting brackets and get it hung on the frame.

On another project, looking for a weather pack type connector for behind the dash. Something to wire the instrument panel to but to be easily seperated from the harness.

I've found a 22 pin connector but its for a bulk head connection and the largest wires it allows is 18ga.

Anybody know of anything with similar number of cavities but for some larger wires and maybe not the bulk head connection?

Got a bunch of those at the shop. I'm starting to think nobody makes anything bigger than 6 cavities.

I'll check with Deere and CIH next week. There are definitely bigger out there.

be sure to postup Brett, interested in those!

Got the trans cooler mounted today.

When it goes in after paint, There will be some adhesive backed foam between it and the radiator.

and after looking at the photos, I have to add one to the list. Don't have an overflow tank... DAMN!

Started the prewire on Stomper's Dash.

Scott, I gotta say, the wrap is awesome.
