Yes, cab is solid mounted. 4 body mounts and 6ish cage points depending on how you want to count them.

Knocked a few more off the list tonight while I was waiting for a late steel delivery.

Just some simple stuff but stuff that leads us toward the next bout of painting.

Things are moving so fast now.

are you trying to motivate me or what?

So nothing i have taken pictures of lately but alot happening.

The front end tube work is painted as well as the firewall. Grille is in paint and installed. Brake booster, wiper motor are on the firewall. I have a brake master sitting there but really want a different one.

Anybody know what one ton came with an aluminum master with the plastic res?

The radiator has been installed in the bed as well as the fan and trans cooler.

Some finish welding on the chassis itself. Water line clamps, engine crossmember and a few other items needed some attention. They're all done now.

Got some bedliner delivered today. Once the bottom of the cab is in bedliner, the front of the chassis is painted along with the eninge itself, its time for some major components to start coming back together.

Yeah, it is hydroboost. However it fit the hydroboost from my 84 K5 just fine.

I was checking the parts stores online out of curiosity and they all show it as a cast iron unit. So using my vehicle as a reference may not be good anyway.

Interesting, if you look at C3500 instead of R3500 you get the aluminum master w/plastic reservoir. I also notice they list one with a 1.25" bore for hydroboost and another 1.125" bore which I assume may be the vacuum booster style.

how you going to run a vacuum booster?

Yep, pretty much what I ran into. The 1.125" bore is what I went with. We'll give it a try and see how it works out.

Vaccum pump on the 6BT. Power steering pump is pretty busy.

Did a bunch more stitch welding on the bottom side of the floor tonight. Had one of my guys go over the floor with a wire cup brush on a grinder and knock off the loose stuff and then wipe it all down. Ready for bedliner. I'll post some pics up in a bit. For some reason he was wearing a "sock Monkey" stocking cap. wierd!

Cleaned up the fuel tank and dropped that into the bed. Don't have the hardware to finish the install so that will wait till tomorrow. Bed is almost fully assembled now.

Over the weekend I hope to finish up the bedliner on the bottom of the cab and get the rear bumper in paint.

EDIT: Just about forgot, one of the aluminum water lines had to be extended so we got that done. The engine crossmember was built a long time ago and built on the truck. There were some welds that couldn't be done on the truck. New we'd be back there at some point so we left it go. Got that all tidied up now. Front brake lines from the center drop back to the firewall and then we're ready to paint the front half of the chassis.

Terry spent some time working with the engine today. Figuring out what senders went where and what all was needed to get things hooked up. Its so nice working on things with the body out of the way.

I didn't think the 6BT vac pump was enough to run a brake booster, that's why they all have hydro? dunno?

Early 12 valves were not hydro, the 95 that my engine came from was a factory vac booster.

Gotta quit looking at this thread, getting anxious
