firebird / Camaro of that vintage basicly stupid easy to drop the sub frame all in 1 and lift body off. then bolt back on and bleed the brakes and go .

seen it done a lot .

I just don't have the space or lift to do that with. We were really hoping we could do it in the engine bay.

I think you're right though, that's really the only way to go.

Final mounting. Just need to set the cutting brake in place and put the seats and harnesses back in. Hopefully tomorrow night.

My kids firebird is a success as well. Heads are off. Got to get a couple broken manifold bolts out of the head outside of that, I think he won the day. And they did come out the top.

Seats in, seat belts in loosely.

Shifters are in and cable routed and all adjusted.

Got the electrical distrubution box back from mrk5. Always a great job.

Time to start pulling some wire,

He wrapped it for me. It's that piece in the center under the dash.

Tonight I'll get the last two gauges in the panel and the wiring for that completed. It's all done with weather pack connectors so it can be easily disconnected and removed.

Same goes for the two switch panels.

For a truck that hardly needs any wiring to run, its still a lot of wires.

EDIT : Forgot to mention, My kid finished his head gasket repair yesterday. Fired it up and not a single engine code. Purrs like a kitten as much as a 6 cyl can purr anyway. Oil change and its out the door this morning.

Today I should have pictures of the dash with all the panels in place. At least enough for pics. Wiring is gona take some time to complete but I can set the panels in place and get the full feel of it for the first time.
