'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
There a line between having fun and going to far.

You can also go too far by not having any fun

I think I found both ends of this spectrum last summer.

Me having too much fun (given the limitations of this truck):

And me not having fun, waiting for my traveling partners to finish having fun so we could get back to the easy trails:

In both cases, better equipment would have bridged the gap and lead to less vehicle damage.

Just remember you can't touch up powder coat so stick to those items that won't come in contact with anything.

Mainly suspension and steering parts. Just want to make it look nicer. Easier than find leaks and broken stuff.

I oft ponder on the effort I put into painting things up before installing in a truck that will get them all dirty. I've decided it makes me happy knowing they looked good when first installed and what happens after just adds character.

So this stuff came in the mail on Saturday thanks to @jekbrown. Time to do some swapping. My brother owes me his rear 56's and poly's from the back of his suburban, but they are still holding the truck up for now so I will probably wait until I can gets those from him. The plan is to swap rear to front and 56's into the rear. Then the 48's are going under the SAS diesel to try to help the ride.

Not sure if this will all get done before the Tuttle trip in May, but we'll see.
