'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
I don't think that's a dumb or crazy idea at all.

The 24 bolts are crazy thick, so I shouldn't have that issue, but I still do plan on running rock rings.

Yeah, rock rings are worth it IMO. I bet over the years with mine if I didn't have rock rings, I would have screwed up lots of studs...usually after each wheeling trip my rock rings have big scrapes and gashes in them...that's why I spray paint them...easy clean up

I agree. The rebar helped with the wheel lip, and keeping rocks off the studs for the most part, but I'm sure it didn't help with keeping any strength or structure to the clamping surface.

There were many times I had a white ring around my wheel on the rebar, but man were those 8 bolts crazy dished!

I had some old bias ply rubber on my factory wheels there for awhile as rollers on the K20. Back when I had them on my 77 with zero psi they looked fully inflated. Drove it around the farm for over a year that way :haha:
