This is one of the best derailments I have seen in a while, and I'm proud to say it was in my thread.
Should I be proud for causing it?

Nope, only child left after my brother joined the military.

He was trolling the "Issues" thread in the lounge just awhile ago.
Always try to keep an eye on that one
Still kickin, busy with heart failure and trying to make money and not be homeless.Speaking of WTF, where is @chevyfumes? Anyone seen him lately?

So I'm still running into issues with my fuel pump over heating.
My solution is making a return style system. Picked up a return style fuel filter from an 01ish corvette. Also picked up a ton of AN fittings to redo all my fuel connections. Hopefully this will keep cool fuel running through the pump at all times preventing the pump from getting too hot.

Interesting that it's a fuel filter and regulator all in one. So your thought process is that the pump is being overworked with the lack of return correct?
Your theory makes sense....
Thanks. I have been doing a lot of reading. Coming from a carb'd family, I am kinda on my own for this efi learing stuff...
I hope this is an answer to some of my run issues. I've only thought about a 5.3 swap say.......1200 times.....

Looking back now, I would have gotten a cell that would have allowed for thatI like in tank pumps, they run cooler and are quieter.

True, but I sell to shops that would be able to help much more then they can with this Chinese EFIHate to tell ya, but a 5.3 swap will also involve electronic fuel injection.![]()
