'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
Post optima, I’ve been happy with Odysseys. Still made in the US, and heavy darned duty.

Yeah Optimas used to be good but now Hecho en Mexico and crappy. I really like Deka batteries. I have some in my blazer that are 10+ yrs old and used before that. I use Cat batteries for everything at work. They actually make ones for all the pickup truck sizes and reasonably priced compared to the parts stores. And I've had good luck with them so far. Not sure if Cat makes them or someone else.

Working at a cat dealer I've got a ton of cat batteries, always wondered who made them. Saw a note in our parts system that they're made by East Penn

Well I dropped the battery off at interstate today, so they are going to do a full recharge and test to see how the battery does. I guess I’ll wait for them and go from there.

Talked to them again Friday before I left work. The battery was in really bad shape, but they think they saved it. I’ll know more tomorrow.

Bought a new AGM battery from O’Reilly’s and was going to make some new terminals as I didn’t like the current setup. Took the afternoon off to get a little work done and get an early start to the weekend, but Mother Nature said suck it.

Mother nature has been telling me that a lot lately but I have limited free time so I just get to strap on the mud boots and go to work in the rain.

I won't give you crap about not working on it in the rain, but holy crap!!!
Why drink that stuff???? !!!!

:haha:
It was that, or my wife’s wine. I usually have my good beers that I drink, and Busch for anyone that makes fun of my dark beers. But I was out.
