This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.

You should have a harness for each set of coils for sure. If that's all you got I'd say you would be missing one.
Guess I need to check it over again.
Spent some time this morning familiarizing myself with the wiring harness. Found where a hand full of the connectors go, and the general layout of the harness. Also took some time to fix a couple of the areas where the loom was cracked and missing or broken.
After some double checking, it looks like I am short one coil harness, so if anyone has one for cheap let me know. This is the one side I do have.

According to the OE schematics on AllData they should both be 8 pin connectors and light gray like the one on the right. They are different though in that there is an even coil harness and an odd coil harness. I will keep looking but that black one doesn't look to be a coil harness due to it only having 4 wires. Are they off of different years or something? I went off an '01 Chevy.
Wait I was confused on your post. You are talking the plugs at the coils themselves not for the coil harness? I'll do some more digging on it.
Ok the black one is a Delphi metri-pack 150 series part number 12162144. I think the other one is part number 15366040 but it doesn't come up with a google search. The connector views on AllData look like the black one is up to '04 and the grey one is '05-'06.
Yeah that looks like the correct plug, but I can't find anything about the complete harness. Or should I just repin these?
Wait, looks like I got coil packs from a 2002. I need to just trade them out for an '05+ and then run the gray harness.

Amazon didn’t show yesterday. Said delayed for possible delivery Sunday or Monday. So no progress yet this weekend.
So I got my harnesses in yesterday, only to find out they do not stretch far enough to reach the front and rear coil packs at the same time. Apparently the LS1 valve covers are not as big....duh
So, I am going to extend the back 2 plugs on either side.
My question is, soldier them or crimp? Both ways would get heat shrink, but just didn't know which way would be better as to not lose any signal to and from the coil pack.

When I worked at the International truck dealership the approved way of repairing ecm wiring was non-insulated butt connectors covered in heat shrink. I would go that route or solder and heat shrink if you are good at soldering since it's brand new wire.
Solder and shrink is the gm way. Butt connectors (depending on the type) add resistance.
