'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
I looked up a schematic for an '01 and for an '06. Older one had 9 wires to the pedal and newer one was 6 wires. TAC module is different. I can try to attach both schematics if you need them.

I have a buddy at LKQ pulling me a pedal and module from the same 2006 2500HD truck in their yard. We’ll see what happens.

Ok so 3 modules and 3 pedals, and all 9 combinations tried. Not a single one worked.

I believe this is the correct module that is called for the 02-07 application, but I have no idea what the pedal looks like.

Is this the correct pedal that goes with this module? This pedal came from an ‘06 Duramax. I don’t believe they are interchangeable.

If I still had access to the GM parts catalog I would be able to check the numbers of all three versions, Diesel, 8.1 and LS to check compatibility or not. Trying to find it on GMparts direct is an effort in futility. I don't remember if there was a difference or not.

What I do remember is if there was a problem with the TAC module or pedal assembly it would set codes in the ECM. Have you checked if it's setting any codes? On the off chance no codes are setting I'd question if the programming was set up for the DBW system or Cable.

It’s got a ton of throttle codes. I just don’t know if I trust the legitimacy since I can’t guarantee I have the right module and pedal.

Wire colors don't match up on that pedal you show to an 8.1L diagram but I didn't cross reference to a Duramax wiring diagram. AllData doesn't give me any part numbers to go off of for this stuff.

Brief pedal update:

I found last week that I have a bad but correct module. New module and wiring harness should be here tomorrow.

Been fighting getting my oil pressure gauge to work, and have came to the conclusion that the actual gauge on the dash is bad. I’ve done 3 different sensors including a factory style, and nothing worked.

So today I hooked up a manual gauge to use temporarily while I move forward with other things.

Not bad psi for idle.

Good news and bad news…

The bad…

IMG_5027.jpeg

But, the good news…

That happened because the trans is finally hooked up and it even moved itself for a second!

Unfortunately there was a line that got pinched and I was unaware. It split and blew literally everywhere haha.

New lines ordered an I might be able to take it for a spin around the block this week!

Lines temporarily fixed. Oil dry down. Took almost an entire 40lb bag.

Unfortunately my B&M shifter cable is seized solid. It’s seized in the neutral position, so the movement last night was just gravity. New cable should be here tomorrow along with the factory trans cooler lines.

Nv4500’s don’t barf fluid or have cables that keep them from shifting…. Just saying. :haha::haha:

With my sarcasm out of the way I can’t wait to see this beast drive out of the garage.
