These two spots look a lot like some of my local trails. Go ahead and get some lockers, front and rear. That smashed door will be the least of your sheet metal worries. Once I got my lockers it took me 6 months on trails like those before I cut the whole body off and replaced it with tube and skins:doah:

I like your build even though you started with a nice looking truck and beat it up:D

I weld the spider gears up in the front d60 last summer and it diffently is alot better than being open, Im going to stick a d70 under the rear as soon as I get the money for gears and its getting the spiders welded too.:D

Thanks and yea Ive been told by more than a few people I tore up a beautiful truck but it wasn't as nice as the pics let on, it had alot of bondo in it but Ive knocked most of it out of it.:haha::doah:

Nice truck man! Love builds like this too where the truck is already practically done so you get to see the whole thing in just a few minutes!

Here are some more pics Ive been meaning to post up....

Went to a buddies farm and got stuck in a wash out with a dead tree stuck in the driver fender and laid the passenger side into another tree and had to be winched out but it was a blast :D

here is the carnage after the fact

Well looks like Im heading a different direction with this build, going to start building it strictly for mud racing and build something later on to play in the rocks...

Picked up a free truck to rob some parts off of...

Junkyard truck 1.jpg

Junkyard truck 2.jpg

swapped the front clip onto my truck..

The fenders are kinda rough but they are better than what was on it and they will do for now till I can figure out how far Im going to take the rebuild of this truck.

Im trying to decide if i should pull the d61 front and install the 10bolt out of the parts truck to try and save some weight.

Ive took 2 of the beadlocks apart and remount the tires the way they are supposed to be, going to make them look like fake beadlocks for now untill I sale them so I can buy some new rims.

This spring Im going to be pulling the 305/400t/208 and going to be installing the 4.8, going to be pickup up a 91 3/4 ton burban for parts next week which has a 4l80/241 combo in it so Ill be installing it behind the 4.8.

I think that 305 done good pulling 38's ...was that w/ 4.10's?

Yes with 4.10 gears and it would turn them 38's over pretty well too. :D

Here are some older videos...

The joys of a carburetor and open front/limited slip rear

You must have a knack for finding those 91's, I know you've parted at least one more of them. What are you using to wire up the engine/trans?

Yea I've parted out one other 91 3/4ton suburban, I'll hopefully have some parts forsale off of it if there is anything worth selling.

Got a local guy that reworks LS harness's, got another local guy going to do a dyno tune once I get everything thrown together.

Yeah, I bought the front axle from you, that's why I remember. So you're starting with a truck 4.8 harness then, and not going with an aftermarket harness? Wiring scares me, I'd never want to do that.

Yea I remember you coming down and picking it up.

Yea going to use the factory truck harness, I think he charges $100 to do a harness and the dyno tune is $250. The guy that does the tuning is one of the best I've seen, he does wonders on LS powered cars and trucks.

Not a whole lot going but I did buy a trailer to pull it on.
