Removing the 4” blocks and installing a shackle flip. I also grabbed a set of 52” springs to replace the crappy pro comp front springs. I’m hoping to get more accomplished this coming Sunday.

Didn’t get a lot done this weekend, but I did acquire a blown up rotted out cucv. I guess that means the burb is getting 4.56s

Work finally slowed down enough I was able to get the cucv in the shop to remove the axles.

I got the 14b ff removed. The drivers side spring perch cut off, and the new one burned in. I can’t wait to have this under the suburban.

I got the axle all bolted in after work today. Everything lined up nicely. I really like the way the shackle flip turned out as well.

I got my front axle, steering gearbox, and suspension removed. I swapped in a 2wd steering box. Now I’m just waiting on my crossover steering and b52 hanger kit.

I also got the Dana 60 removed from the cucv.

I finally got the Dana 60 and 52s installed. A 6” shackle seems to work well the factory ones hit the frame badly.

I found a set of 42” TSLs for a great price. I wasn’t planning on running this large of a tire, but after some heavy trimming I’m glad I went this route.

My spartan locker came in for the Dana 60. I also got my steering box end cap from diy4x for hydro assist.

Went for a “test run” this is the first time I’ve had anything with a front locker, and I am really happy with how it performs. Can’t wait to take this in a real wheeling trip.

Finally got to do a real shakedown run last weekend. I didn’t take many wheeling pics unfortunately. My trip was cut short after twisting up my rear drive shaft.

I ended up making a driveshaft out of some 1/4” wall oil drilling pipe. The rocks shouldn’t be able to collapse this one.
