The new 1410 slip yoke was 2” shorter than my 1310 slip yoke. So I cut and welded 2” of the old sleeve onto the new yoke. This will be a spare shaft in the future so I’m not too worried about it holding.
Got it re-installed. Should work good until I get my full 1410 driveshaft done. I plan to make the rear 1410 as well. Then I will only need to carry one size joint as a spare.
Got my front driveshaft built this morning. I ended up going with a 1350 double cardan because it was a lot cheaper than the 1410. Hopefully I don’t regret that later on.
The new shaft works well. It only hits on my header under hard flex on the passenger side. I can live with that for now, but in the future I think this will get manifolds.
