I'm considering building my hood into a cowl induction hood.. It may be hard to see but this quick photo edit is hat I'm considering...

Like a wide cowl? That would be different. You certainly have the skills to give it a shot, I say go for it.

Yes sir... I'm thinking of simply raising the factory ridge on the hood just slightly to make a cowl type look. I want it high enough that you can tell it is a cowl hood but low enough that your not quite sure if it's a cowl at all.... If that makes any sense.... :doah:

I guess the cat helped.
:thumb:

This photo was taken about a year ago... I ended up finding my cat dead not more than a month after this photo was taken in my garage. My American bulldog was on top of her which made me assume he killed her but when I pulled him off she was stiff as a board so she must have died from old age... I had that cat for 12 years...

Oh.

Sorry for your loss. We really get attached to our furry friends. My family lost three cats within two months, all due to old age. Each one was over 15 years old. My first cat lived until she was 20. At this point none of us have gotten another cat yet. It just tears your heart out when they pass.

OYMC,

I’m a late bloomer on this thread but was a big fan of the build thread you had going on the 67-72 page and wondered what happened over there. I totally missed all the drama when things came to a blow up with the banning as well as the related thread here as it was unfolding but I can tell you I had a run in with that same exact moderator around the same time (April/May time frame). Not to bore everybody with the story but I have been a good well-behaved member there since the late 90’s (the place was slow for the first several years and I had inconsistent internet access back then (1998-1999) and lost my user name so I rejoined in 2003) For the past 7 or 8 years I made my yearly monetary contributions but after a run in with the same moderator you clashed with on a build thread I had on a 1993 C1500 TBI 7.4L project I let my yearly contribution lapse and joined here instead based on a friendly invite by 63chevyII. In fact, I stopped clicking on their domain all together for about 3 months and have really ratcheted back on my involvement there since then. It is shame to see that place seem to be losing its luster due to poor moderators and the overly strict take it or leave it attitude of rules.

The interesting thing is 63chevyII contacted me there to come check out CK5, which I said no way because my past experiences with CK5 was more in line with the trash talking immaturity of Pirate4x4. I have to hot of temper to deal with trash talking punks and webwheelers that creep around the likes of Pirate. Long story short after a 10 year hiatus from CK5 (which is why my post count here is less than 200 posts in 12 years), I came back to check it out and found this place very friendly with more like minded dudes than anywhere else. It appears as though moderators here did a great job of chasing off the trash talking riff raff instead of chasing off the people that make a site a “community” sharing ideas and admiring each other’s work, etc.

Anyway, you were not alone in the BS you got over there and so many of us are glad to see you found a new home for your build thread! I’m definitely in the audience watching this one. Great work!
