Ac!

my buddy has a vaccuum pump and gauges so we thought we'd fiddle with the ac system. left the pump on for an hour or so, turned it off and it held a negative vaccuum for 30 mins, good sign. went through 3 cans of freon (auto zone special), and damn...have had cold ac for two weeks now. i've never even wheeled in a truck with ac before, game changer :D

bed

found a solid bed and tailgate, dang that things heavy with just two people

Ac is next on my to do list for my K30, yours looks great, love the new shoes :pimp:

I gotta say tube bed also, especially if you are gonna wheel it, it's a whole different game when you don't have to worry about bed sides and such. I love how mine works,on a tight trail, just get the cab past the tree and then let the bed hit it and help to pivot you around :D

Oops :doah:, the bed picks hadn't come up when I started typing :doah: :D

Been a few months since I updated this...

Picked up that Warn vr12000 off amazon and got that set up

Then put on the zero rates, pushed the axle back an inch

Then went to install the grizzly locker and what did I find? Gov lock :doah:

So had it towed to a shop (sad sight), they had an open carrier just sitting and while it was all apart had them set up 4.56 gears and a grizzly for the front, whole new animal now!

Instead of hacking up the front fenders with a sawzall and cut off wheel decided to have it done right...I'm just not that good

Anyone ever tried the string trick putting in glass? Works like a charm!

Never heard of a string trick for getting a window in... Heard of using one to get them out.... Hows it work?

Read about it somewhere on the web, found one youtube vid of a guy doing it on a porsche. Basically I wrapped plain old yellow pull string 1 1/2 times around the gasket, put the window up and got it started, then just held one end of the string (use leather gloves) and pulled on the other end (from inside the cab), string just pulled the gasket right in, even the corners went in resonably smooth, took less than ten minutes
