my work boots are like 10 yrs old, but I'll spend $300 on conduit.... :haha:

where the flock are my priorities..... :doah::wink1:

Last time I checked your boots weren't part of your truck. Of course I am still waiting to see the boot warmers installed. :haha:

nothing is EVER simple...... warning: long read....... :o

so I'm going to be running a sub section of circuit protection up in the overhead console for certain circuits... originally I figured, "eh, it'll be easiest to just hide a small set of fuses or breakers hidden up in the console.. on the backside of the panel..."

now that I've been laying out the switch location, domelight, etc, I'm looking at it thinking, "it'd be way more functional to carry over the exposed, red rocker breakers that I run in the glovebox, to the overhead console..."

ok, fine, that'd look pretty badarse too... plus I really need to pick up 7 more to finish the glovebox system off...

well............ Blue Sea discontinued them...... why, i have no idea.. they are VERY common in boats... hope i never have to replace one at work now, cuz it ain't gonna be simple... I have found a few individual ones online, but most websites say discontinued...

Blue Seas push these as a replacement now i suppose... i have been seeing more of these in the boats lately..

they're fine, not quite as cool as the ones i run, but they'd fit the cutouts... but then i'd need to swap out the 15 I already own at some point so they are all the same style, to be happy with it..

so i spent from 3 am to 5 am becoming an expert on breakers... found the actual manufacturer who made em for Blue Seas, company named Airpax... I was alos curious about other colors on the rockers other than the red, as I've seen green ones in the boats too... apparently they are also available in orange and yellow too...

BUT, just like trying to find Carling Technologies Contura's with legends on them, it isn't easy... been checking distributor lists all morning trying to see whats out there...

I'VE GOT A HEADACHE NOW!!! :doah::haha: I'll go cure it with some soothing grinding.... :wink1:

The more I think about the rewire on Krusty, the more I look at those circuit breakers and think that would be far better than fuses. Then I look at my empty wallet and remember that there are other priorities first.

what can I say, I like what I like... :wink1:

just ordered my e-brake lever.....

oh, and for the curious, those breakers run $10 to $20 each... in the end I'll be running about 20.... so yes, all told, it's expensive... :( just gotta commit now and get em all....

did a huge contura order, next a wire order and weatherpacks.. finally the ultra-buck conduit... :doah::haha:probably gonna have a grand in for all the supplies in the end....

Where did you find with a good selection of weatherpacks? If I can keep to my plan, I should be replacing all the gauges soon and I need a way to disconnect them quickly. Gonna have to be an 8 or a 9 connector setup ideally, but I could always do two 4's or one 4 and a 5 if I can find them.

6 is a common weatherpack.. i'll be using a series of those for the overhead, and my gauge cluster, etc.... there are larger pin count ones, but they tend to be bulkhead connectors...
and no, i haven't researched any more than where i left off... i'll probably do waytek... i dig the leftovers...

That might work, even if I just use part of the second 6. Then I could break the two with one having lights, power, and ground, while the other has all the sending units.

yeah, they have 2,3,4,6... so you can combo em up too....

here's the e-brake and boot i ordered......

yeah, I've seen a few of the jumbo's..... i'm not crazy about em... i'd much rather run 4 of the 6's...

i saw a bulkhead one that had a bunch and was pretty cool... if i come across the link, i'll post it... i'm not gonna do a firewall bulkhead one tho... thats one of the reasons i ditched the fuseblock...

finished up the ps sectioning and rocker... just some more in green.... hopefully in about 2 weeks i'll be covering all the green with some urethane primer, little glazing putty and squirtin some color...

doh! need to clean that lens! :doah::o

I keep looking at all these pictures and I just can't seem to shake the feeling that something is missing. :haha: The tires and wheels do a good job of creating the illusion that the axles are there. I love the work you have done, keep it up.

ghost axles! :haha:

eh, there is a method to the madness... :wink1: no point in hanging em with no gears and getting em all covered in sh*t while I'm finishing up cab work.. even after I get the cab/cage ready for paint, I still need to get back under it and do some finish work on the underside of the floor.. so it'll be a few months yet...
