First, I will apologize for my inadaquacy(?) of my photo and computer usage. I know it's quite feeble. Second, I have no pics from the side with the 38" radials, but the 38x14.5 are close on the 10" wide rims. Hope this helps. Oh, there was no body lift on the truck with the original paint. There is a 2" body lift on the front of the cab, but the rear has a 4" angle and 2" angle cross member to the rear and mid mounts with 1/8 plate as a floor. When "completed". the truck weighed just shy of 7000lbs. Ooops, guess that's besides the point.
Oh yeah, I've read this whole thread and am jealous of your abilities to think and do all you have done, keep it up. I have a very clean 89 now and am going to swap all the 1 ton stuff under it from the yellow 88. Hopefully by the end of this comming summer. I've always had help from friends, but I'm going to try it myself in gravel driveway, YAHOO!

I've crunched the numbers w/ a 700r4 and 38's... honestly I'd just go 5.13's since you'll have 1 tons... I was going to go 4.88's b/c I was worried about my ring/pinion size in my front 10b but w/ a 700r and that beautiful OD 5.13's are perfect...

38's w/ 5.13's @ 70mph in OD is only 2,200rpm...

I've been waiting 4 yrs to do it... :(

Now's the time... I don't know where I'm gonna come up with all the money, but the truck should be pretty capable when it rolls out in sept...

I have soooooo much labor right now, I could spend weeks on end downstairs.. Sunday is mold day and stripping down the axles...

Trying to get a x-over shopping list together... I think I'm gonna do hydro assist now too... Kert and ORD will be getting big orders from me the next couple months... :haha:

Next week I go pick up the 38's... They where loading a K5 with Rocks and 49 Iroks on a trailer when I got there today...

Do you run a TH400 or a SM465? I'm running almost the exact same setup... 4.56's w/ GH 40" tires with a 4 speed manual.

nah, not this year anyway.... sept is my goal date, and that will be more a money factor than anything else..

I also decided last night, I'm just gonna regear these axles right now and be done with it.. 5:13's here I come..
