too bad it looks like that http://www.weatherpack.com/ , White products doesn't sell to the little guy.....

hmmm didn't realize Waytek had em.. one of my fave shopping places.. i'll just have to add to that $500... :wink1:

yeah, I'm current on Waytek... I'll probably use them, they have everything i'm looking for..... found a good deal on the big crimpers too...

I kinda dig ordering from waytek, the forced minimums, force you to keep a small inventory of leftovers, replacements, etc... and most of the time it is not excessive, and often needed in the end...

i'll just be running various weatherpacks and some of the 630 series...

every switch in the cab (other tham hi-beam (floor), ign, hazzards and turn) will be some form of Carling Contura, I have most in the mix, SPST, SPDT, DPST and some DPDT's... single or double pole is usually the only question...

as to the actuator covers, I run the soft touch ones... most will be black, lighted in red, grn, blue or amber.. but i'm also picking up a few lighted red and gray covers too, for certain systems...

the overhead console will have 12 switches, with 4 more "blanks" that could be utilized later.. but i think i've thought of everything i could run! :doah::crazy::haha:

for those noob's unfamiliar with the Conturas.....

you can see them here in my dash.... the new dash will have 5 on the left of the column, 5 on the right...

yeah, there are quite a few that sell them to some extent.. some even have legends, but very few... i'm going for labeling under each switch.. i'm sure a google search would bring up a few places.. i source them for boats at work thru marine places like lewis marine, mesco, west marine, etc... i pretty much get all my personal carling stuff from waytek these days... they just got the blue lensed covers in recently...

man, this thread needs an index. i have my ck5 setup to show 100 posts a page & theres still 21 pages! i've been trying to find the posts where you redid your front fender wheelwells and haven't seen it yet...are you still running inner fenders w/the rear of the fenders laid so far back?

it starts on page 20.... post 1921

and yup running inner fenders.... thats in there too...

i actually started the driverside last night and am trying to detail that side even more with some measurements, etc...

well, package 1 of 3 has arrived from Canananada...

those arms just ooze sexy...

oh, and a note on the fender.... one thing i should point out is with the fender being hard-mounted on top of the slider like it is, every truck becomes somewhat custom, sorta... here's why...

depending on how much of a gap you leave between the door and slider and where the doors are hung in the opening, that bottom cut point may vary a bit.... reason being you should work off the body line 2/3d's of the way up... that dictates where the cut is...

too long, and the body line will be high.. too short and the base at the slider will need to be shimmed up.... ok.. but trust me, it's so bulletproof flushmounted with the 12 gauge it'd be a shame to shim it...

here you can just make out the cut lines in blue for me on the ds...

the critical height line is exactly 28"s to the upper fender mount hole by the upper hinge... this seems to be the best measuring point... the back taper line is 7.5"s forward from the back edge....

I'll update this more on the weekend.... I need to go pet my steering arms now.... :haha:

yeah hopefully the other 2 boxes show tomorrow.... they musta shipped via mule train....

oh, and I forgot to mention, that package showed up with some $25 brokerage fee in COD.... wtf is that sh*t? the other 2 packages better not have that on em, i'll be seriously pissed...

and no show today on em from the brown Santa..... :(

and a question for the peanut gallery.... :wink1:

what would a SICK aftermarket ROUND dual filament headlight be? is there such a beast? Lightforce, Hella, whatever? i mean i dont wana spend $500, but I'd consider $250, 300....

edit... i see Lightforce doesn't make one..

are you sure? i was thinking there pricing looked a little high when i noticed them on random weatherpack shopping searchs on Google... i'll recompare some prices before i do any ordering.. it's gonna be a couple weeks anyway.... thanks!
