87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

Man you are insane. That console is so sick. You should sell those. What are you doing working on boats!!! You should be doing this!!! haha

:haha:

thanks guys....

well, I'll tell ya...... as usual, the console, as with the majority of my stuff is so custom one-off-ish it really isn't a marketable item... :doah::screwy:

especially the console, not too many folks around with their console framed in rollcage... my dash bezel was, and still is something I'd like to produce at some point....

it kinda sucks and i feel bad sometimes cuz someone will ask "who's installed this?, etc" and i sit there and think "if I post how I've incorporated said item into my build, the guys gonna run screaming into the night"... :doah::o

I will give being a marine mechanic one prop, it's been a MAJOR portion of the craftsman I've become.. following my auto/truck career up with boats has brought me to levels of diagnostic and creative levels I dont think I would have if I just stayed in cars.. I think alot of the influences are readily seen in my rig..

OT starts this week, great for the parts train, cuts down on dungeon time a bit, but I'll try to up the diligence level a bit...

I'm just the opposite this week Paul....slow at work, but still need to be here a couple more days, then 5 off....saweet!
Really like the console gig man!

Looking good Paul....

Between diaper changes and 3AM feedings, I still find time to watch your progress. I'm living vicariously through you these days. :D

:usaflag:

priorities son, family first... the rig will be there.. :deal:

the Ryoken show will continue to strive to be introwebtaining in the meantime....

sold it..... :pimp: :popcorn::haha:

nah, plodding along... got the doors trimmed in black and put back on for the last time... maybe get the support and ds fender in fill prime tomorrow.....

I'm trying to get some spring cleaning done too, intermixed with a very busy part of the year for me enhanced by a fubar'd back...... :screwy: the rig hasn't been getting a ton of love the last couple weeks...

throw in a lack of funding right now for parts from trying to get caught up on some huge electric bills... did order the hinges and straps the other day from LMC, so i can get Avery's tailgate on.

I don’t expect much this time of year from Paul, build thread always seems to slow down about this time of year, which is good because I think the money train starts about this time of year for young Paul:D

I'm trying to stay diligent, trying... spring commisioning is rough on a normal yr for me, throw the back thing in, and it's hard to get motivated to move after work... lugging around/installing 175 lb outdrives is battling it out with my spine these days... :doah: :woot:  :(

hopefully on the 15th I'll be putting a $1000 Summit order in.... :woot:got some badarse toys in my Wishlist.. :doah::pimp::pimp1:

thanks..... :D and yeah, it'd be like selling my soul..... :eek1: :haha:

next Summit batch......

then it's an order with Randy's, than BTO.. unfortunately I didn't hit the Mega last night... :doah: :dunno:

Wow, That stuff adds up quick.
I should be ready in about a month to start on the engine stuff, that going to be scary on the the fundes.

Hope the back get better soon.

sad thing is, it should be double that... i've decided to hold off on all the plumbing till i figure out which coolers to run.. but all of that will be another grand.... i'll be doing that around the time I talk to BTO about the trans...

there are a couple extras in there, but f*ck it, it's gonna get it at some point... i ordered a few pads for the cage to see how they're gonna work out, but i'll need more... the vc's are WAY extra, but i figure I'm gonna do the air cleaner now, the matching vc's would really work well...

i really think that red with the hint of black carbon fiber will look awesome with the rig overall and especially with the airpan setup..... they're freakin bucks tho.. $190 AND i'll still need to run an adapter with these heads till i do the 383...

just a note to the future user of expanded steel.... :haha:

this had to be the most annoying thing I've ever sandblasted! :doah::whistle:

did it outside with the HF 20 lber when I was finishing up the rad support...

I'm pretty redneck, hoodie, paint respirator, full clear face shield, that is FAR from clear and some gloves... here it is with the support....

oh.... maybe you guys can help...

eventually I'll be adding 3 more diamond areas to the grill for an air coupler and pos/neg for jumper cable/arc welding leads....

the air coupler is obvious... but I'm trying to come up with something like the Nato plugs for the pos/neg

some sort of cable receptacle.. but as you see, the Nato ones are absolutely stupid coin.... I dont mind dumping $50 to even a hundy for a nice pair, but $300 is a bit much... been looking around Google a bit, but can't find anything else... maybe welder parts?

duh... i forgot those posts are both pos and neg..... so i'd only need one... then just chop the other plug off the jumper cables.. ends of my choice...

look for big truck stuff. All the garbage trucks I drive have the pos/neg quick connectors at the bottom front of the battery box.
