87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

i could still run it in any order i want.. but i will be running it out of the trans to the rad, to the cooler, the filter and back to the trans... I always like to run filters after the coolers..

sounds good, capture anything before returning to the trans then.
Thanks.

balls clean right before it goes back in.. i also feel it helps maximize the coolers ability...

pretty good day today... itchin like a dog tonight! :doah: :haha:

the only pan fab left is the top of the back wall and some sanding prep for primer... i'll do pics tomorrow...

oil is best filtered when its hot, so that the oil is thin and passes through the filter easier while any particles still get trapped. I say it should go filter, rad cooler, then aux cooler.

good point... if i was gonna go that route, i'd do rad, filter, cooler, just for the reasonable plumbing factor..

hopefully I can get the back wall done and put this in primer today....

Congratulations ! You have built a sink !

Just jabbin - Looks great. :waytogo:

2 questions - Is it an optical illusion or is the inner foam lip taller in the front, tapering down towards the rear ? How much weight are we seeing in these pics ? Looks heavy.

Keep up the awesomeness

optical illusion.. i think the tan filler obstructs the view of the corner..

the only thing off is there is one part about 3" of the inner wall, that's a tad bit wider, in the foamy track opening... it's nothing, you wont notice it.. but that inner wall fought me the other day...

i really like the curved back corners, and I'm VERY happy with the design.. the walls where difficult, but I am SO glad I did it... now, it will just take a bit, if any, glue down in the bottom for the foam.... I'm sure if I didn't, down the road glue failure would have been an issue if not secured like that...

funny, you mention sinks, reminds me of when I built a custom bathtub for a customer once... crazy job....

alrighty, coffee reload, back at it.....

glasswork is done on the pan.. :woot: but alas, I'm out of hardener for the primer.. grrrr.... eh, I'll have it in black by the end of the week... stoked.. oh, it weighs about 4 lbs... :pimp:

Ryoken - scratchin like a flea-bitten mutt.. :eek1: need to take a bath in Sunkist soda...

it's an inside joke for myself...

ummmmm.......

boy, do I have issues! :doah: :haha:

a LONG time ago I worked with an old-timer who swore that if you washed with Sunkist soda, it had to be Sunkist, that it pulls the fiberglass out of your skin and gets rid of the itch...

I'm guessing, maybe something to do with the citrus or something... in all these yrs, i've never tried it.. i'll have to pop a can at work some fiberglass day and pour it on my arms.... :haha:

Ok thats kinda what i figured it was about, but ya never know:whistle:

If it works, let me know lol. I hate that itch after workin in an attic all day at work

very nice execution Paul....you have a way of making your ideas come to reality without fockin' em up (like me)

your doing some fine work over there and your diligence has motivated me lately... :D

many times it's fab on the go... I'll start with a general idea of what I want, and how it gets there, who knows! :haha:

this is the time that drives me crazy, I can see it in black, done, installed, just gotta plod thru the last few steps.....

I have a habit of thinking how I want something, only to change it a couple times before I like it....lots of wasted time...I mean design optimization:doah:

So what fitting do you have in mind for the Inverted Flare on the radiator, to adapt to the AN lines? I'm having trouble finding one.
