No ****! I have sent them several e mails and filled out their stupid questionnaires saying how stupid the new setup is.

the prob for me was my one album is full, and the upload page has a little box in the upper left that it "uploads to", and it keeps defaulting to the full one... so it kept saying "failed, exceeded size"

so, I may be pulling the trigger next week on a NOS dash for Mutt, and that got me going on what to do with the battered, cracked K5 one....I've done quite a few recovers on pads before, Chevelles, Mopars, etc..

but the K5 one needs quite a few mods before I can get to a finished surface... all the vents/speaker holes up top need to be closed up and just the center one made for the custom heater....

I also have something interesting planned for the insert area to the right above the glovebox... construction will be metal work, than a shaped closed cell foam and glass with a textured finish...

I got that same sh!t Paul, I have like 7 albums, some with only a very few pics in them, and still couldnt upload to them....foc photobucket, if they can't give me someone to talk to, they can kiss my ass.

So there's metal under all that sh!t that cracks? Hmmmm....

originally I was just gonna look for a pretty clean OEM one, cut for the cage and dye it black... but the long narrow defrost vents and center speaker opening would have served no purpose....

so, as usual, full blown custom, here we go... :haha:

and here's an idea of what I'm doing for the insert... I'm doing a LED lit acrlic panel there.... it'll have this effect going on...

24.jpg

but mine will obviously have a black surface behind it.... I was gonna do a chevy bowtie, but the panel is gonna be 3" x 30", so it's a bit narrow for that...

so I'm gonna be doing a BUILT, NOT BOUGHT lettering... it'll be switchable from amber to green, like the other interior LED lighting I'm doing...

it should be pretty neat.. it's a project I've wanted to try for a while now.. should be a fun first project for the home built blast cabinet...

latest on the list of "I took off 3 yr's ago, now what the flock did I do with it?" list..... :haha:

the 5 slip-in dash pad clips..... :doah:

well, at least the search got me to organize the parts spare room.... still haven't found em, but at least I can walk in there now.... gotta be in some coffee can somewhere...

eh, I'm sure they're spring steel first off.... not ruling out doing something different.. as a matter of fact, I'm not even certain I can use all of them..

when I put the under-dash cage bar in, I didn't pay attention and really put it up high in there.. couple of the mounting holes/clips are gonna be tight, the tube is right under the dash metal.. but I'd like to at least see if the clips are viable, before I commit to doing something else..

That is half of the reason a lot of mine is not going back stock. I have really no clue where half the crap is anymore. :doah: :haha:

I just hope they weren't in one of the boxes of stuff I had to toss after Sandy... :doah:

I'm kind of committed to that factory pad shape.. it's part of the whole interior concept, using my bezel, maintaining just a tad of factory resemblance in there in spite of the consoles, yada...

eh, gives me an excuse to sort thru and organize more stuff this weekend... eventually I'll have to do the attic, that's scary... :haha:

so... been doing some dash, breaker panel, plexi-door, dash mockup type work... stoked on that, but it'll be a few weeks before there's anything worth taking pics of.. want a windshield in it by the end of april too..

but I took a few minutes to put the rest of the rollbar padding in... not sure if I posted pics or not before, but I know you guys wont argue with pics... :haha:

and excuse the 18 months of dust... :eek1:
