87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

Interesting, I just thought glass was glass. It does make sense though, I know when I had a window busted out on my old 2011 Silverado I wanted them to put factory back in.

100_0769_zps9d577a04.jpg

you can see the floating ECM mount in the background.. it mounts on shock pads..

I'll be adding a small strip of glass across the bottom of that.. so the kickpanel can lock/wedge in there first as you click it up in place with these flush mount/pop out/1/4 turn gizmo's.......

the conturas are my new winch controls... update tomorrow on that stuff...

you'll have to excuse the scuffs and dust, etc.. things have been getting bounced around since Mutt got here... some things need overcoats, etc...

but it gives ya an idea of some final looks and lines..

2 $ ho...

I'm almost ready to wire this insanity...... :eek1:

need that 747 touchscreen to round off the dash tho... :pimp:

outstanding! Not only is that going to be the most unique Blazer on the planet, it is really going to be one of the nicest....

I think you should give the electronics a voice...and it should be a sexy female voice :haha:

oh, and a couple with just etch....

need to etch the back so it's black looking...

the ongoing experiment... :haha:

when do you think you will sit in it and drive it for the first time in a while? in other words, how long till it has a drivetrain?

I guess I should revise that...You do have an engine and transmission in there, but I think it doesn't have fuel lines and peripherals on it

motors fine.. I have a mock-up/trans core.. the trans is $2600 I don't have.. I need gears, suspension, a sugar momma.......

having two projects at once is like two credit cards....

Will you finish Mutt first and then finish off the Blazer in the next few? :dunno:

well, Mutt heavy dose all summer.. next fall/winter back on this.. following spring/summer, heavy Mutt suspension, traction....the winter, this thing.. following summer Cummins in Mutt... wheel the K5.. buy trailer.... tour the nation...

this is a goofy question, but at this moment, which of your rigs is your favorite?

If total destruction was coming, and you could only take one....which would it be?

(and don't give me an answer like "Mutt because I would have to push the Blazer)

both done? this, cuz of the crazy mods...

driving to mexico, the cummins Mutt...

Man your interior is sweet. Can't say it enough. Attention to details is not my strongpoint. Dash looks great. I want your cage in my truck. If you didn't have so much going on I'd ask you to build one for mine. Good to see ya putting in some time on the old girl.

thanks, should be a fun cockpit to hang in...

just some random blatherings...

I know nobodies really digging the plexi at this point, but I think I can make it cool with other effects down the road... the tech certainly worked super well, for what it is.. has me revved up about trying dremel engraving... wish I was an artist! :doah:

redone with shiny blackface when off, for cruising around, should help appease those preferring a "not so over the top circus wagon" light show look........ ;)

first I'm just gonna try adding a layer of amber flames to that and see what it looks like with 2 color... but I suspect it'll be a bit busy..

so glad I built the rack/frame that holds/stacks them... there is a 1/2" angle iron, external frame that slides over the one welded in the dash.. I welded 4 1/4-20 studs to the dash inside, so the retainer frame is adjustable for 1, 2 or even 3 plexi layers...

simple to change out designs...

anxious to get the smoked plexi door in there now.... :woot:

and here's the hand throttle for those that didn't see it when I bought it..

push button, full slide control...

and than it has the much finer adjustment of turning the knob in or out too..
