87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

:haha: can't say that's a phrase I've ever used before! :woot:

just fill primed everything... maybe some paint tomorrow..

considering Mutt's Nason is about $125 a gal with hardener and the K5 is about a grand when you factory in a gal of clear, hardener and reducer, it's painful... :doah: :haha:

I can't imagine what they get for Glasurit these days... :eek1:

When I checked last year, Chromabase and Glasurit were $600 a gallon for base

they told me it was the EPA tax on the chemicals...

wonder what water based costs?

my discount is probably the price dif.... Glasurit was always a bit pricier than Dupont in the past...

f*ck water-based sh*t... :haha:

yeah...I cannot even imagine a water based anything looking as good as regular...much less being durable

obviously I'm an old crusty body guy... I'm sure the water based resins are getting better and better... but when I was spraying that sh*t 20 yr's ago, it SUCKED BALLS....

even with house paints...an oil based still looks better...

I guess I am wrong to think Water Base = Water Soluable

but once again...it isn't necessary...it is like forcing the Ethanol on us...it isn't necessary...the EPA isn't necessary

If you had bought the paint 3 or 4 years ago...would it have kept until now?

I'm not sure how accurate that could be anyway, all paint lines vary the price based on color.. reds, etc are a fair bit more expensive, than say, black...

tomorrow I'll finish the black work, and maybe get it assembled... may see about getting the Al's liner down this weekend...

I bought a pint the other day..... used about 6 tablespoons out of it.... :haha:

I had a qrt of clear kicking around, just had to buy hardener for it... which I needed for the black Imron anyway...
