If it were me, I would remove that "wheel well" tube and just have the straight tube go back all the way to the rear, then have your diagonal down bar from the top connect to it wherever you want, then brace up as needed. That would give you a good place to mount skins off of too, if that is what you're planning on doing to keep the truck look...but it's not looking horrible...just personal preference I guess

Yes the plan is to keep the truck look. Going to do some brain storming on it.

Gotcha. Looks like you could run a parallel diagonal from the cab to the wheel well tube and then a short leg from the dead node down. Unnecessary tube but it might look neat.
