'87 Suburban Build "munepit" I'm Back! Missed all you guys!

It's completely up to you, but I like to take them out as one unit, because they balance on the jack easier. But if you have a 208 it might not be bad to take the tcase out seperately.

Yea that's the one it falls over and can't take much weight or it crushes.

Well, I am not surprised. Its mounted to the jack and will be used in the compressed position. I will use the jack for the up and down movement. I'm sure it will be fine In the compresed position. Thanks though!

Ahh we dont use no silly jacks!!! We normally have one or two guys up front and one in the rear, and lower like that, normally works good, and we always take the tcase off first. Its just so awkward being off centered.

Too hot to work on the burb, So, Put my daughter in the pool for the first time. She loved it. Also, Im trying to get some better pics of the wife to post in "The Pig Pen".

I sure wish he was here! I would probably be with him right now, Doing something cool!

Thanks by the way!

Its just sitting. No money right now. With all the Medicare and Medical cutbacks, They arent paying like they used to. I need to go out and get some more business.

I need to pull the tranny and get it rebuilt and get some new tires. Im getting the 42in. Goodyear w/ Kevlar and Raceline beadlocks. The tries are around $550 a piece. :doah:

I need to get this close to done( never done), But I need a smaller rig to wheel around here. I will end up using the Burb to pull something like this. This is what I want to build next. All I need is the tools and skills and the cash.

I want to build this!

looks to be a shrunken k5? narrowed and doved but is it bobbed too?

Yep, all the above. I think they cut a foot or more out of the center. Then dovetailed and bobbed it. Im sure I could never do that, But I need a K5 Blazer and cut the hell out of it. The turning radius and the overhang kill me in the burb. I need something shorter. Thats after I get the burb where I want it.

Think how much easier it'd be to finish the burn If you weren't always trying to fix **** you broke wheeling it like a k5

Well, I haven't posted here in a while. I am getting the burb back on the road! I have the tranny in the back of my truck. Its getting rebuilt tonight! It was a PITA ass to pull out by myself. I cleaned the 208.

I ordered some hydro assist parts today, Some Bilstein shocks for the rear also today. Thats all I can think of right now.

so initial impression, you think the Monster kit was worth the $$? looks like it so far. and glad to see your back under the thing getting it going again.

Ya, When I talked to my tranny guy, Telling him all the parts that came with the kit, He was impressed! Im meeting him at 4:00pm today. He is going to tear it apart in front of me so we will know what else I need if anything. I am pleased with what I got in the kit. They are all good parts.

I am spending a lot of time on the rig again. The heat is gone and Im tired of riding shotgun in other people's rigs. I will have this back on the road by the Sunday night. I have $600.00 to blow on parts this week. tranny is already paid for so that doesn't count. I need to get stuff done.
