'87 Suburban Build "munepit" I'm Back! Missed all you guys!

Damm. So your saying to leave the bottom bolt. Thats what Kert at diy4x told me also. Since thats the case, theres not much to shave off.

What was your solution? Would you do it again like that?

This is Supermotard750's cover.First he shaved it down to the bolt threads. When we hit the trail and drug it over a few rocks it started leaking.

This was his fix. He no longer has a bottom bolt. He filled the hole & put a plate around the bottom of the cover.

Thanks. You cant tell from the pics, But it is super smooth! No way im going to get hung up now. And all the edges are rounded. No straight corners anymore.

unless your done with it Jeff, its actually pretty easy to take off any of those lips on there.

Everything as smooth as possible, course you said you were a landing strip kind of guy so:D

Eric, are you talking about the half circle on the left side in the first pic? I didnt know if that was important. I can still do more. Let me know what part your talking about. Thanks bud!

I looked at your pics again Jeff and I think I was kind of seeing an optical illusion, in one pic it looks like there is still a pretty good lip on there b ut when you compare it to the other pic it doesn't look like its there, so carry on folks nothin to see here

Looks good Jeff

I still have a bunch of work to do, but its on its wheels. This is still huge. I thought for sure it would sit lower. Its still just as high.

pull #5 leaf FROM THE TOP and see how you like it. If you pull both, the pack will go damn near flat :doah: I need to put one back :doah::doah:

??How long is that shackle??

Im going to leave it the way it is for now. Next weekend 4wheel parts is having a car crush and im going to flatten some cars. They will also have an RTI ramp there. I will see how it does and then make changes as needed.
