88 K5 Build - Colonel Mustard

I didn't notch the column....found out that lil peice of important information after I installed the shaft.

I'll have to take it back off and do it the right way!

Yes still looking to get a few sets, I did call my source and they were available, but that was last month. I'll call again in a few weeks and check on the price's. I've got to stay on my 02 until it's done! I hate body work!

Since its warming up I guess its time to start working on the Cat some more.

I plan on building a 400/203/205 DOUBLER:D to replace the 700/208 I have.
New shafts for the 60
Install the detroit for the 14B
Hydro assist
Maybe some cage work

When I saw the title I was thinking YEAH a CAT engine in a K5.
Well at least it's yellow.:dunno:

I threw the idea around...its still in the back of my head, maybe once I finish school and have bookoo bucks:thumb:
 
Small update, bought a frame from a buddy for 100 bucks. 1/2 ton running gear and a 203! Just needed the 203 for my doubler build. Couldnt believe how heavy that thing was...
Took it off, tore it apart. Its ready to be cleaned / painted!

I had to put the doubler on hold due to funds and time. I did however rebuild my first automatic th400. I am still running a 208 behind it. I am relocating to anchorage ak, so, for now I will have to leave the blazer behind. Hopefully I can find a blazer or truck to tinker on when I get there!

Minimum one year. The position is indefinite though, so if I like it I will stay.
 
Any updates? I'm out by Decatur if you wanna go wheelin sometime. Need more k5 buddies
 
After all the crap I caught for cat yellow valve cover and oil pan people mustn't have seen this thread before :haha:
