89-ish K5 build. Beat cancer!!! Time for icecream!

3 Link front, leafs in the rear, 2.5" ADS Racing Shocks!
Oh dam, that’ll be a while..lol
But I might have some others if you’re interested.
You need complete doors or just shells?

Those 3.5s have a lot of tuning potential. Just tuned 3.5 F150s run with stock 5.0 GT Mustangs. I don't think an Explorer would be much different. Just saying ;)

Yah still a hard no. I am seriously contemplating a cam swap on this now seeing how easy it is to tune. But I probably should get it in, get rid of torque management, and smooth out the PE curves and see how it goes. Guys have added as much as 45HP just by removing torque management and fixing the PE curve.

Personally I can't swap an engine with the stock cam and exhaust manifolds, just too much power left on the table for such little work while the engine is out. But I can understand if you are learning to start out with a stock engine that's easier to tune.

It will be getting Speed engineering headers. I think for time I'll just swap the motor in, and get it dialed. I may have to have more treatment so who knows. Id rather keep the list to a minimum so when it is time to enjoy it, its ready to go. I've been seeing more 5.3's pop up for 300ish bucks. I may buy a second motor and cam, springs, 706 heads, and maybe a china snail.

Got most everything on the top side labeled. Buying a 20 dollar labeler is way nicer and easier than writing on tape. I am labeling everything because I am redoing the harness myself. I’d like to have this thing pulled this weekend.

Also got some good news from my recent pet scan. Almost all the cancer is gone. I’m halfway through so still a long road to go. Felt good to get back in the garage.

Man, that's AMAZING news!! CONGRATS on a clean bill of health! It's time for ice cream. ;)

As part of the celebration for your good news, load that Blazer up and bring it down to Alabama to go wheeling with us next month! :saweet:
