89-ish K5 build. Beat cancer!!! Time for icecream!

3 Link front, leafs in the rear, 2.5" ADS Racing Shocks!
So started work on this thing again after a very busy end of summer. Started scraping the goo from the fenders, and I’ll be fixing the floors/ prepping for the cage and full vert swap. I plan to grab tube in the next week or so and get going on it. I plan to tear down the shocks and revalve them for better ride. I’ll also be ordering all new seats from prp, bedlining, an actual paint job new wheels and tires, and regearing to 5.38. Should be a nice weekend warrior/ dune slayer after that.

Dang. Go deep or go home.

Sounds awesome, I look forward to seeing the results Jesse.:saweet:

Removing the crappy Bedliner is going to take me forever. Need to do that before winter sets and I have to keep the doors closed. Heat gun and a scraper seems to be the best bet. There is some sort of thin rubber mat by the drivers and passenger floorboards that isn’t coming off easily.

I'll have to give that a try, but that rubber matt on the floorboards is gonna be a pain.
Try dry ice. Saw that trick online for removing factory sound deadener. Looked pretty efficient as the stuff popped off in chunks.

I had that plastic mat on the front floorboards as well. I used the scraper and heat gun (keeping the blade hot as well as the mat helped) but that dry ice is a neat idea.

The virgin floor under the mat is really cool.

Macco strip wheels on the grinder worked very well. I need to order some more.
Cleared most of it on quickly shot self etch primer. Kids are sick so I couldn’t finish.

Yep lots of work there. Cleaned up nice though

Not sure if aircraft paint stripper would work on that? Might be worth a try if you have a lot left to do. What you have done looks great though.
I remember taking all the under coating of the underside on one of my Datsuns way back when I was young....scraping and a wire wheel. What a pain!
