Got it buttoned up today, well enough to get her on the road. Was able to drive it to my kids daycare and all the kids loved it, some dads too. Was so awesome hearing my daughter scream “hey that’s my dads monster truck!” Lol Happy day!

Need to get the windshield in first. Daycare was a 2 mile drive, ice cream is 6 miles, and right past the police station. Lol

Another Safelite vote, they came to the house and installed it. The guy was super cool too, he didn’t complain a bit about having to climb on the truck to install it.

Windshields in these trucks are super easy. No reason to pay anyone. Let the gasket sit in the sun for a few hours before you install it.
Yah I had a good one but I cracked it laying in my shop. I should have brought it in the house. May just throw that one in for now.
Why would you plan to redo it? A new windshield isn't much money and you don't have to do it twice...

I wouldn’t be doing it twice. Just to get me by till I know I can continue to work. We are holding off on any not necessary purchases at the moment.

If the windshield is still useable and won’t get you a ticket throw it in and run it . Use the money saved for gas and ice cream.

Got the rest of the front cage painted, including shifter mount, inner gas tank door hardware/mounts installed. Prepped the gas door for paint tomorrow. Threw the windshield gasket on. Tomorrows goal is to have the windshield in, the gas tank door painted/ cleared, rest of the seat belts in, and get bumpers put on. May dig the stock front bumper out from in back of my shop till I can fab up a new bumper. Still waiting on oncologist so I have new clue when my cancer treatment will start. Going to just get this thing out and enjoy it as soon as possible.

My oldest has a birthday next Tuesday so hopefully if weather cooperates, first ice cream run will be then.
Windshield installed, gas door painted. Steering column almost rebuilt. Need to get some 12 point 1/4” sockets to finish. Almost ice cream time
Shifter back in, all belts mounted(pain in the ass). Wipers put on, dash rewired, steering column rebuilt, and bumper installed. Need to fix an exhaust hanger, then check fluids and things and go on a test drive.
