89 K5 Code 32 & black smoke at WOT

You used a remote located FPR?
I keep taking off the top injector sectionto adjust mine. I'll end up pulling it off tomorrow to see if the spring is still good.
Any way what would be the start psi with Vac off? The book said 9-13psi.

Yeah, I found a good deal on an Aeromotive adj regulator that I mounted on the firewall.

I would think that 9 psi would work to get it started and then adj from there.

I'll give that a try. I haven't had the chance to remove and inspect it yet I'll try today weather permiting.

Sorry for the delay.
I removed the FPR inspected the spring all was good.
Placed it back and still could not get it below 14psi.
I removed & snipped one full circle off the spring re-installed and it sat at 10psi.
I then adjusted it up to 12 and tried to connect the vacuum. It started running like crap.
I left the vacuum disconnected and at 12psi drove the truck a good 30 miles got a little black smoke and it thru code 32 again. Pulled the new EGR & checked seemed sticking on the return stroke tapped it and it shut so I'll get a new one.
Thanks again to all for your Patients.
