Nice, Im hoping to have this thing ready to wheel by sept. I believe the last badlands night run is on the 16th or 18th. They'll be open till 9 pm

I told you you inspired me Mudder. Here's a pic. We just shot the paint on it (I aint crazy about the color, but it was free;) ). We are heading to Harlan, KY, Saturday for the Southern Shine Crawl, and test this thing out a little bit.

haven't checked on your build in a while, but it's lookin' pretty good. i agree with you on Kert's spring plates. people say they look beefy by lookin at them in pics, but you don't really realize how beefy they are until you pull 'em outta the box.

I love it! Trazers are taking over  You still running 52" springs in the back? If so be prepared to lose alot of flex. I wheeled my truck with pretty much the same setup you got now. And I was on three wheels one to many times :eek1: Try and add weight to the back, spare tire, tool box, fat chicks, whatever.

Oh and I dig the paint :wink1:

Rivermtnman, Are you in on our Trazer revolution?? lol. We need a Trazer only forum to showcase our masterpieces.
HIJACKON: Question, I`ll be converting my blazer into a pickup, but without using an actual pickup cab, Does it qualify as a TRAZER? :HIJACK OFF

Hmmm, yet another good question that could be a Poll in the "trazer only" forum.... hahaha. IMO, if you wanna call it a trazer, and you've done all that work, then by golly, you're a Trazer d*mnt~!

What moderator could make us a Trazer forum?

Oh yes, I'm in the Trazer revolution! Keep up the good work, cause I'm taking notes. I vote for a Trazer forum too.:D

Ok guys I got a little done this weekend, but not as much as I would have liked. The garage really needed to be cleaned out. There was just too much junk getting in my way, so we pushed the truck outside to organize the garage a little.

We flexed it out a little. But I really need to find a better way to flex this out. The engine hoist almost tipped over! :doah: Also we noticed the chain that the hook was attached to had a big crack in one of the links, so the flex test was ended early before anyone got hurt.

Here you can see that the 52s up front are doing most of the flex. The rear is barley flexed

I also got the 14bff painted and the spring plates & guardsman painted

And while I was cleaning the garage I thought I would take a pic of this motor. I built this awhile ago expecting to put it in my 2wd blazer but kinda lost interest in that and bought this blazer. If the motor in the trail rig ever blows up I will put this motor in. 355ci, forged internals, bigger cam, 2.02/1.60 intake/exhaust valves and a bunch of other goodies.

flexing with an engine hoist always works best from the rear since its lighter :-) Was that as high as the hoist would go or was that where the flex ended?

I think the hoist was almost maxed out but I just didnt trust it going up much higher. That hoist is probably over ten years old and needs to be repaired. Sometime soon I'm going to replace all the bolts with grd 8s

I need to go get me a spare motor with how many I went through on the last truck.

It all loooks good man. I like the 89-91 grill on the single cab.
