89 k5 Trazer build "The Dirty Girl" *Tubed front/taper, full hydro steer*

Well not much of an update, but I did manage to get two of the wheels welded up. And I mounted (kinda) one of the tires. It's not aired up in these pics, I just got the hardware today. Also The outer ring is not painted yet. It will be the same olive drab that I have painted my other parts.

These are procomp 16X10s with ruffstuff specialties beadlocks

looks good dude! ive been gone a while, ill have to go back and read up on everything you've done since i was around here back in mid july

Lookin SWEET. Thats the exact tire I "want" to run on my crew cab. Whats the overall hight of those 42's? The 235x85x16 on my crew cab are 31.5" tall. I figure 42's should lift it 5"ish, if they are real close to 41-42". Reason I ask is so I can estimate my frame hight for Utahs lift laws.

Thanx

Sorry I forgot to get a measurement for you today :(. But I did manage to paint one of the outer rings, bolt it up, air up the tire, and mount it on the truck :D

Well I finally got the correct stub shaft for the driver's side and I have the axle all assembled. I also installed the dropped pitman arm, so I need to install my XJ steering shaft and measure for a draglink. I am going to have the local 4x4 shop make me a draglink once I give them measurements.

Also I welded another wheel and mounted a swamper and put it on the truck yesterday.

Yea it takes a long a$$ time to do those beadlocks. A hell of a lot of grinding!! For the other two wheels, we are going to weld on the rings then bring them to my brother's friend's shop. He has a lathe and will just put the wheel in the lathe and quickly machine em flat for us.
