'89 R3500 Crew Cab 2wd to 4wd conversion & beyond

Started out with 2wd TBI350 with SM465 to current 4wd with 454, 700r4, NP241
I did find one negative. For some reason the driver side tank is running at a higher fuel pressure, about 65 or 70psi. Didn't see any kinked hoses this time. The passenger tank runs fuel pressure where it should. Curious now when this changed because it was not running the higher pressure previously. Makes me wonder if it goes back to the kinky bend in the hard lines that run on the cross member from the tank to the selector valve.

I'm not going to worry about it too much. I plan to use the higher pressure tank as the backup source and run primarily off the passenger side tank. I'm also curious what fuel pressure would look like cruising down the highway.

With the Holly I assume?
Yeah. But I'm only reading about Holley stuff so I don't know if it happens with the FiTech too.

I guess Holley is shaving all the corners they can to meet a price point but an ACDelco CTS is pretty damn cheap.

Some people have had a similar experience with the FiTech however it hasn't been the norm.

I think that the IFS trucks got bigger radiators to counter the ugly nose.....
And I even have a '95.... don't care for the looks, just function.

Didn't post pictures where the charcoal canister ended up back on the firewall. I still need to get a longer hose for it.

Temporary power steering cooler. Don't think it'll do much cooling here.

Need to figure out where I'm going to mount the cooler now.

It occurs to me will the canister even work if I don't have a vacuum like connected to it?

I would think it needs vacuum so it's pulling those fumes back into the intake. Can you tie it into the PCV hose?

Just been doing some reading and it should have a vacuum line connected to a ported vacuum source. I could run a line to the ported vacuum port on the Sniper. I may look for a canister from a late 70s truck because they have fewer ports. Hell I didn't even realize they are serviceable items.

I do too. When I have the 66 in the shop everyone complains about the gas fumes.

I was looking closer at mine and it just has 1 extra fitting for the PCV so I'll just cap that and run a hose to the ported vac port on the Sniper and call it good.
