'89 R3500 Crew Cab 2wd to 4wd conversion & beyond

Started out with 2wd TBI350 with SM465 to current 4wd with 454, 700r4, NP241
I'll just mock them on there so I can take pictures and get all excited. Actually I need to mock them up so I can figure out what I want to do for plug wire boots; straight or 90° or something different.

This arrived yesterday. When I ordered it Jegs said it would ship 3/2 (a week after I ordered it). However I had noticed on Holley's website they were saying they would ship 4/2 so I figured Jegs was being optimistic. That's why I ordered it when I did. So it did arrive earlier than I thought it would.

My plan is to use next weekend to put the EP381 in the passenger tank which currently has the faulty pump. I'll also be replacing the tank selector valve.

Then starting the first weekend in April I'll get the crew cab in the shop and start with the motor swap. Hoping to be done by the end of April or first week in May.

In regards to the Sniper system specifically, I decided to wait until the motor is in the truck before bolting the unit on the motor. Since I have to wait to put the headers on then too, it can wait.

Sounds like you're planning on doing some cleanup and paint work before the BBC goes in?

Same here, but it was my Grandpas truck. 64-ish stepside chevy. I have a pic somewhere with my 2 brothers and me in the back when we were small. I'll post it when I find it...

For me its the hood, vent windows, dash and gauges. All so I don't like GMC. Grill is ugly and so is the dash.

I`ve wanted a 64/66 Chev ever since my dad sold his last one, that was when I was like 10 years old. Almost 40 yeas ago. :haha:

Want to build a new engine cross member that will free up some additional up-travel on the high steer, the hydraulic ram specifically. Debating about pulling the front fenders to repair or replace while the motor is out. Also trying not to stack up too many projects because it can't sit in the shop forever since this is also our place of business.

ah yes, I remember you had clearance issues with the ram when you did the SAS.

And before bump stops. Now it's always on the stops, well almost.

And Blazer Bash is in September
