Trying to decide whether or not to grind the welds in the inside corners. My welds aren't the prettiest, but I kinda like the look. Plus grinding them down will be a ton of work.

I'm grinding down the outside corners because they definitely look better and they're not as difficult to get to.

I wouldn’t smooth out the inside welds unless they’re really bad.

Welds that work are worth keeping. They look great to me.

Wutch ya planning on carrying on that thing? That is stout.

I assume the 2 ends are parallel but not on the same plain?

The frame kicks up 2-1/4" at the last 20" and I matched that with the "fenders".

I'm thinking more about rubbing on trees and stuff than haul capacity. The fenders are 2x5x12ga (roughly 1/8) and the other tubes are 1-1/2x2x14ga (roughly .090). I added up the materials and at most it should weigh as much as the factory bed. Less would be great, but I really just don't want it to weigh more.

Looking at the bed that was on the truck it's pretty obvious I've already been rubbing on trees. Actually the doors show evidence of that too.
