'89 R3500 Crew Cab 2wd to 4wd conversion & beyond

Started out with 2wd TBI350 with SM465 to current 4wd with 454, 700r4, NP241
If you look in the air bag catalogs they actually make some air bags with bump stops inside them for straight air suspensions.
I need to redo my super duty air bags and add the cradles for droop. I'm sure I'm pulling on the bags a lot when I take it hunting and stuff it wasn't built for, plus mine won't hold 5 psi all the times either.

Definitely not a luxury yacht; no AC.

I did a thing today....

Ended up at an auction with @Capt Ron and @Raggedy_Ann. It was a hoarder's collection. No titles and no keys. Stuff went cheap except the squarebodies of course.

Ended up with an L29 donor.

Also have some inside info on possible future plans for one of @Capt Ron's rigs but I'll leave that for him to post when he's ready.

Hmm. He might have mentioned something at the cruise….

Nice score on the L29 truck. Was it a stick or auto?

The ones to both sides of that look cooler, just sayin
Definitely not the one on the right. It has been completely submerged. Mud filled engine bay and on the engine oil dipstick. You could see on the headliner that the water had been that high.

Auto. Don't worry, Ron was checking for NV4500's. :D

I'm debating putting the 4l80 in my C10.

Need to figure out how to start this truck with no keys.
You should be able to get just destructive enough to get the ignition lock out. Thieves do it, so you should be able to on a donor.
Maybe slide hammer actually does it?

The biggest priority is being able to unlock the steering wheel, because of course the wheels aren't straight.

Luckily we only need to drag it a block and a half.

Hammer and a nice sized flathead screw driver..?
